CPF&G Needs Volunteers to Run New Events!

CPF&G has established a Pin Shoot committee for possible pin shoots in the future. There are a couple cowboy shooters, a director, and some pistol league shooters already helping to get it started.

The club always needs volunteers for the on-going events like the Turkey Shoot and Sighting In day held on National Hunting and Fishing Day,
which will also be CPF&G's 100th Anniversary!

CPF&G would like to offer many more public events but we need help.
Volunteers make it happen. There is talk about trying another Veteran's Shoot, a 3-d Archery Shoot, or a Black Powder shoot,
but someone needs to step up and get them started.

If any Club Member has an Idea for an Event and is willing to jump in to get it started, Please contact the CPF&G Board of Directors and they'll be glad to assist you in getting a new event going!

Nothing gets done if We as members, don't do it!

- A competitive team shooting league with handicap scores for team events and individual scoring for high slow, timed, and rapid targets shot as a gallery course. Trophies and awards for team and individual events. For those that shoot a full season there is a banquet at a restaurant at the season's end. This is a winter event from the fall of one year to March of the next year.

Wednesday Night Pistol Shooting League- Center Fire League

- A little more relaxed then the 22 league but with the same team handicap and individual scoring methods. This league does not have the turn out of 22 league so the banquet is pizza at the clubhouse at the season's end. This is a Spring event. Starts after the 22 League and goes through June.

Monday Night Rifle Shooting League

Monday nights at 6pm for a relaxed rifle shooting environment. No team competitions. Just individual shooting and scoring to improve your own abilities. Bring anything you want from a 22 to a 30.06. This event runs through spring, summer and Fall.

CPF&G Sighting In Day!

- In Honor of National Hunting and Fishing Day the club's outdoor range will be open to the public from 9AM to 4PM. Also Celebrating the Anniversary of Newton Hunting and Fishing Day Established on the 4th Saturday in September, 1972.

The Public is Welcome and Encouraged to Attend!

Held every year in November before Thanksgiving

The State of New Hampshire requires proof of completion of a hunter education course or a previous hunting license. Without a previous license a person must complete a hunting safety course and receive their certificate. This extends to archery hunters as well. Without a previous archery license a person must complete an archery safety course and receive their certificate.

New Hampshire Fish and Game Department Hunter Education Program

-CPF&G is working towards the creation of a Team to compete in the Scholastic Clay Target Program and set up an association with this organization. The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) has started SCTP to encourage the youth of today to enjoy the great tradition of Trap Shooting. CPF&G is actively seeking students under the age of 20 to participate on a team. Club membership is NOT required. Anyone interested Please Contact CPF&G.
